Image files are images of certain software cd/dvd's.These images must be mounted through an virtual drive to make use of it
They may be of Extensions like .iso etc
this mounting can be done by using softwares like power iso,deamon tools etc
but recent discussions revealed that deamon tools contain an virus in it
hence i prefer POWER ISO for this purpose
Lets see the Procedure now
At first install the POWER ISO software(link is provided below to download)
after installation is completed u can see an virtual cd/dvd device in MY COMPUTER
(see the pic below)Next right-click on the iso file u want to mount and go through "power iso" option and click on "Mount image to drive"(see pic below)
after doing that u can observe ur image file is mounted in "MY COMPUTER"
(observe the pic below)
And now imagine that u have inserted an cd/dvd and install the software as usual
